Hi, I'm Michael Truong

Founder of Truong Real Estate Team

In order to commit to a process of growth and development, it's important that you get to know your guide. It's one thing to rattle off your achievements but it's another to share the good, bad and ugly of your journey.

Make no mistake, the "shift storm" is here. And I'm devoting my time, talents and resources to helping agents that are just crazy enough to join me to drive massive growth in their business and life during the wild economic times that are coming.

Here's a little about me and why I'm so passionate about helping agents like you build businesses that allow for true time and money freedom.

Growing up, I took care of my younger siblings while my parents were working multiple jobs, going to night school, and becoming business owners.

My father worked as a janitor, mechanic, and got his electrical engineering degree while my mother was a waitress, often working till 11 PM. They eventually opened a computer store, which they ran for 14 years, while at the same time, my father was working full time for an aerospace company. Between work and raising 3 kids, they had no personal life.

I got into real estate in 2011,

the same year my wife had our son Jayson. I left a cozy six-figure Corporate job and so my new career had to work! I had no idea what I was doing as a new real estate agent or father!

By the end of my first full year in

real estate,

I sold 10 homes for over $50,000 GCI, flipped 4 rehab properties making $200,000. But I was always on my phone, stressed all the time, working 7 days a week and missing out on the stuff that mattered. I was failing as a husband and father.

On our first vacation as a family,

I worked every day to hold a big deal together. I would do whatever it took to help my clients. But I was clearly failing in the areas of my life that mattered most to me. Have you been there? Have you let your family down by making business a priority over them?

I went through the darkest time of my life between 2016 and 2017...

I moved to Houston TX to save my marriage, but failed in divorce after a year. Fortunately, I got full custody of my son and moving to Seattle WA in early 2016 to be close to my immediate family. Nothing could have prepared me for my mother's untimely passing just a year later at the young age of 59. I reflect and thank God for blessing me the path to spend time with my mother the last year of her life.

Everything would change going forward as I was now playing the long game in life and business with an eternal perspective.

I had a lot on the line.

Broken and depressed, Jayson and I packed what little I had left and moved back to CT to restart my real estate career in 2018. I had nothing to my name, but knew I had to succeed for my son. I was working more than ever and was stressed all the time to build my brand.

That year I sold over 50 homes personally and my small team sold another 70 or so homes. I had increased responsibilities at home and work. Something had to give if I were going to succeed in business and life.

Determined to succeed mindset.

I had to make the commitment to build my business in a way where it didn’t rely on me. Most top producing real estate agents and team leaders are slaves to their businesses. They have no freedom whatsoever. That wasn’t going to be me. I had too much on the line.

I built sustainable systems and empowered my team...

to go from 0 homes sold in 2018 working 7 days a week to over 50 homes a handful of years later with me working only 4 day per week. While it wasn’t perfect, it was intentional. And I finally had true time and money freedom.

The Journey Wasn't Easy & I Made All The Mistakes Possible But Now I Get to Help Others Get There With Less Pain & Struggle

Have you let your family down because of real estate? Are you stressed all the time because of constant deal drama? Are you letting work get in the way of taking care of yourself physically, emotionally and spiritually?

I would often wonder on any given day:

  • When will the time I put into real estate pay off financially?

  • How can I stop working so many hours, especially nights and weekends?

  • How can I find and bring on quality people so I don’t have to do all the work myself?

  • How can I stop working IN my business and start working ON my business?

Have You Ever Asked Yourself Questions Like These?

I ask, because there’s quite a bit of misleading information out there in terms of growing your real estate sales business. Most traditional real estate coaching programs teach you how to sell more homes no matter what the consequences are in your personal life. And you end up working more hours to serve the increased demands of your business.

It’s a formula that doesn’t work if you want to have a life outside of real estate.

I was able to build a profitable, systems driven business that allowed me to step up in the areas of life that mattered most to me. And now you can too!

Knowing precisely how rocky my journey was, how many mistakes I made, I knew I could help others get there in half the time — and with less pain and suffering. And so I decided to pass on the wisdom and insights that I learned along the way.

If you are at the point in your journey where you’ve achieved traditional success and it’s just not giving you the time and money freedom you deserve, it’s time to take a different approach.

It’s time to find out what you can do different to build a business worth owning so you have a life worth living.

Let’s Make a Difference Together!
